We are Hiring: CASHIER REQUIRED
We are a friendly local hardware store catering to both individual customers and small businesses. We are looking for a cashier to handle customer transactions and provide excellent customer service. An honest reliable and efficient team worker is best suited. To be successful you should have previous experience in customer service. Must have own transport to Elandsfontein, Germiston.
Responsibilities
- Greeting customers when entering and leaving the store (customer service-oriented) and offer assistance
- Using specific till technology such as a cash register and credit/debit card terminals
- Collecting payments and bag purchases for customers
- Asking customers about their shopping experience for exceptional customer service
- Balancing the till at the end of the day and maintaining an accurate cash drawer
- Keeping the checkout area, clean and tidy
- Resolving customer queries and resolve issues
- Assisting with general tasks like filing.
- Supporting the team where necessary
Requirements and skills - Matriculant who is fluent in English and Afrikaans
- Excellent administrative and reception skills
- Minimum 4 years working experience
- Must be computer literate
- Social Media experience will be advantageous (Instagram, Facebook, Tik-Tok etc)
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Enjoy working with people, friendly & positive attitude and a good team player
